This book is set around the war and is perfect for readers who enjoy this genre. I wanted to try this as the cover of the book intrigued me and the blurb made me want to read more. After reading the first couple of chapters I felt the book lost its edge and I was left struggling to continue reading. The author has clearly heavily researched the war and the level of detail in the book is unlike the majority of others book I have read. The first couple of chapters that I read had left me wanting to find out what the German nazis were wanting to protect so much but as the story continued I thought it had got long winded. Overall I was left disappointed with the book but this is not my usual genre and perhaps this is why it just wasn’t for me
