I didn't realise that this book was one in a series but I didn't feel like I was behind having not read the previous books. Tom Wilde is a likeable character, although I was slightly confused as to why he was chosen for this mission!

The book was fast paced and there were lots of twists which kept it moving and kept my attention. It wasn't as predictable as I thought it was going to be which was good too.

I liked the supporting characters and wish there was more time for their character development, for example Sunny and her role and relationship with Offenbach could have been explained more.

I would have liked to find out more about Klara too and her life in America although the way it ended was nice and everything was wrapped up well. I suppose as it is part of a series maybe the next book (if there is going to be one?) might fill in the blanks as to what happened to the characters.
