Something a bit different for me
This was an unexpected one for me because it's not my usual genre, however I read the first impression and I was hooked. I love about readers first that it gets me reading things I wouldn't have usually picked up. The book is really fast paced and intriguing right to the end. There were quite a few sub stories but the main story of Wilde and Sunny smuggling Klara out of Germany was really tense and gripping. I didn't realise at first but the book is part of a series, it works really well as a standalone book but I am going to look out for the other 3 in the series to find out more about Tom Wilde and Lydia. I was worried that some aspects of the book might be too gory for me but I think those parts were fitting to the wartime setting but not over the top.
