I like a good historical fiction and I was looking forward for this release but I was not particularly a fan of this one. I've never read anything by Rory Clements before, I liked the pace and the story telling at the beginning and could not put it down. It started to become a little big dragging but in a "there are too many twists and turns" kind of way and in the end I was just struggling to finish it, just skimming through the lines.
It is action and suspense packed novel but I personally found it lacking on the side of character development.
It is beautifully written and with quite a lot of detail and even more dialogue!
I absolutely think it would make a great movie but that's not what I am looking for in a book.
