"This was a story of intertwined domestic rivalries far removed from the thunder of war..."

Rory Clements' latest novel, 'Hitler's Secret', set in the winter of 1941, is not another book about War. Rather, as the headline suggests, the story of Tom Wilde, a Cambridge Professor recruited by MI5 to assist with the expatriation of a 'package' from Germany, takes the reader through a web of treachery, sabotage and murder.

Adolf Hitler's alleged romance with his niece, Geli, sets the backdrop for this novel, and Clements uses the setting of Nazi Germany to explore the depths that people will go to keep-or gain-power in the Wolf's Lair. I read the entire 2nd act in one sitting, eager to find out what happened in this power struggle.

Highly researched and well written-very enjoyable!
