A very interesting and compelling book.

The central theme - the rescue of the 10 year old was most believable in that the machinations of the then German authorities under Hitler and his cohorts were always factionised.

It was interesting to see how the author detailed the significant differences in the political and moral beliefs of certain sections of the German armed forces and how sadly powerless these proponents of the "good" in the German populous were.

The narrative was spell binding and exciting and what most readers would call a terrific page turner.

I felt the concluding chapters although riveting - vaguely familiar as Tom Wilde struggled to deal with the two or even three sided problem of how to not only keep the young girl safe but to salve his own conscience.

A really good book.
