Worth more than 5 stars – I’d double this, without question.

I was deliriously excited to hear that "Hitler’s Secret" was being published and it has surpassed all my expectations, and then some.

It’s heaving with the enormity of Tom Wilde’s task and the palpable fear of scrutiny at every turn. Every venture featuring Tom Wilde had me perched on the edge of my seat before, but I can tell you that THIS is 110% my favourite of the series so far.

The mysterious package Tom is committed to collect and safely deliver shows exactly whose moral compass is way off course. While are others, like him, will place themselves in the line of fire before they would let precious cargo fall into the wrong hands. But who trust, or not to trust, now THAT is the question!

And boy, does he need to channel his inner chameleon this time. At every turn the most ruthlessly power-mad and lethally motivated people in the world are snapping at his heels and he’s forever thinking on the hoof under a pressure so great you’d think his head would explode.

Pacey and persuasive it certainly is, but it doesn’t sensationalise, nor forget, the grim reality of war, the affects of which are littered throughout this book and feel starkly raw. Between the ‘action’ there were times that allowed me to reflect on the commitment of those selfless people who have undertaken similar gruelling tasks with the courage of a lion, and an even bigger heart.

Absolutely worth more than 5 stars – I’d double this, without question.
