This book is described as YA , which is a genre I do not usually read so maybe I am not the right person to comment . My first thought is that Leah seems to be a very young fourteen year old. I think that the novel will probably appeal to the younger end of YA and maybe even middle grade.
The narrative seemed to jump about quickly from one thing to the next with very little back story or depth . Maybe this style will suite young readers fine, it’s hard for me to say .
