The first look extract joins the action at the beginning of chapter six on page 88, so we are missing a lot of information as to who the characters are and how they got to where they were at that stage of the story, but even so you can tell that the book has certain characteristics (like the illustrations at the start of each chapter) and is written in an accessible way.
