Written in first person, and in modern UK / USA language and vocabulary, this book will easily relate to its intended audience.

Facing many of todays problems such as body issues, popularity, fitting into an Insta-Perfect world, this book is very open and relatable to female-identifying teenagers.

I like the illustrations at the start of each chapter, it’s one of the benefits of a young adult audience and also fantasy books, illustrations are still acceptable.

It will be interesting to see how Leah develops across the trilogy, whether we continue through her adolescence or if we get to see her into adulthood. Will her passion for stargazing and escapism carry on or will she lose her sense of wonder as she grows up? Will Leah, or any of us, ever truly find our place to call Home.
Thought provoking and deep in parts, but contemporary and relatable in others.
