This is a feel good, growing up tale of 14-year-old Leah who is learning to feel at home with herself. Leah shares with us her experiences and anxieties and we get to find out how she is able to allow her confidence and sense of self grow. This all happens through having good friends, wise mentors and embracing all that life offers her. She pushes herself to find things out, ask questions and she attends an activity camp and engages in all activities and interacts with other characters.
I like how the author writes in enlightening information and there are life affirming ideas that Leah can use for her self development. The author says this book is for all those young in spirit but I think it is best as a read for young adults who have questions about themselves and are interested in the unknown, developing their sense of self and engaging fully in life.
