This was a nice read but ultimately not aimed at my target audience so fell a little short for me. I think this is a good read for teens with some valuable life lessons about body confidence and bullying. Sometimes the messages seemed a little forced especially through the character Maia and overshadowed the stories flow. I did enjoy the philosophical exploration of what is home – looking inside yourself, to others and the world around you. The link of this to climate change was very interesting. The inclusion of climate change was an important and relevant point for teens especially climate anxiety and the severity of the subject was handled well.

Leah has many out of body experiences, which could’ve been described a little clearer. I was left questioning whether these were spiritual or supernatural. The real pull of the book for me was towards the end of the book where this was explored further.
