I really love the idea of this book, positive messages for preteens, teens interwoven within a story. It might be that I am not the target audience but the messages felt extremely forced. They were very obvious and at points I felt pushing away more interesting parts of the storyline which could of been explored further. I noticed the book is due to be the first in a series. I hope that the new relationships are explored further and the positive messages written more in a way which flows with the storyline. There's so much scope to explore the other characters more. This book may be an amazing read for the intended audience and I do appreciate the messages it is trying to imply. I think with a little more thought that this series of books could do very well, both in sales and helping get positive messages across. I would be interested in the views of the intended audience.
