From the extract this book does seem incredibly compelling: a man plagued by nightmares and another at 74 still struggling to run from what seems a dark past.
I would be interested in the big reveal: what inspired his nightmares? Or are they just a downside to an. overactive imagination? And, how long has the character Jesse had amnesia?
And I'm a big fan of this being a thriller that brings something that is altogether new territory. In the age difference between the two main characters, but also in that it veers away from the 'perfect couple with secrets' trope.
That does usually work well, but this is newer ground which can be quite exciting.
