Jesse can remember little of his life before the age of thirteen when he was left scarred for life after an "incident". What he knows of his life before this incident came from stories told to him by the other children in the children's home including his wife from whom he is now separated. The only constant in his life now is his work as a doctor and the time that he spends with his daughter Isa. The past however is beginning to catch up with him and with Artur Messer who used to run the children's home and it will consume Jesse's life and that of his daughter Isa.
