The cover looked interesting and the blurb read well so I’m not sure if it was the prologue that set the tone as it seemed to veer into the realms of sci-fi that made it hard for me to enjoy the book or something else but this just didn’t especially grab me. The main character seems ok and the book was well written and it wasn’t overly difficult to read but I just didn’t enjoy it weirdly.
