I have no strong feelings about the cover. It reminds me of a wooden crate or cabin, both of which suggest the idea of being trapped. It's okay- just not particularly eye-catching.
This does sound like the sort of thing I would normally read, so I am intrigued. However, the last paragraph of the blurb seemed like it was trying too hard to cause tension and hint at things to come; I would have like to be kept in the dark a little more, so would happily remove the final two lines of the blurb.
