Oh my gosh !! ...i absolutely LOVE this book. So far so good, i just can't wait to read more of this story and see what happens next.
so, we start out with this incredible prologue that got me thinking.... this must be how the doctor actually decided/becomes a doctor later in this book. He must of perhaps been so frightened by his accident that maybe he decided he wants to make a difference to other children and their lives as he grows up but.... we are then plunged into this amazing story, years down the line and learn of his daughter and ex partner.
Sadly for me this 'first look' comes to a grinding hault just at the perfect point (well not so perfect for me as i'm so desperate to learn more). Going by what i have read so far, i'm quietly confident that this will be one of the most gripping and exciting stories i've ever read!
So i'm now wondering how work life is for jesse, whether his dreams will eventually stop and if this monster appears again perhaps.
I love that several of the names used in this book are relevant to me and my life (i guess helps to immerse yourself that much more). I couldn't help but be amused by isa disappearing with the jar of choc spread (i'm a mother of 5 and come across this before...deja vu) hehe.
Keeping my fingers and toes crossed i have a chance to read the rest very very soon. Thankyou guys for sharing this excellent story with me, it's been a real pleasure to read :-)
