I don't read many crime/murder mystery novels as some do tend to scare me a little too much! But I'm trying to read books that are out of usual comfort zone this year. I loved this thrilling story.
There is only enough backstory to fill you in on the basic details before you're plunged into the dramatic tale of murder and abduction. The main character jets off immediately in search of his daughter with a peculiar assistant.
I was suspicious of every character we were introduced to! Which obviously is the aim of all the suspenseful and intriguing information. The pacing was superb, almost every page included much needed details to figure out the secrets.
The ending is what made this novel so fantastic, I didn't guess the who the murderer was until the very last few pages!
