This book had me captivated from the very beginning. The author reeled me in with the descriptions of the black water surrounding him and the burning pressure on his immature lungs. The scents and sounds of the forest and description of the bug eyed attacker had me there right along side the main character. Almost instantly you make a connection with the main character and their fight for survival on more than One occasion, is this dramatic start just a snippet of what is yet to come?. I have so many questions running around my head, who is the bug eyed stranger? Why are they attacking him? Does he know him? What will happen to Isa? I crave the rest of this story and would devour it in one sitting I am sure.
