Jesse, a Doctor seems to have a fairly good life. He’s separated from his wife - the mother of his child - but he sees his daughter regularly and seems to have a good relationship with her. He moves to Berlin where his daughter had been moved to by his ex-wife. She clearly is his world.
Then things start to go awry, his daughter is kidnapped and he finds his ex-wife dead. This sends him on a journey into his past and back to the children’s home where he was brought up. We’re Introduced to many of his ex-house mates and all seem to have a motive to kidnap his daughter. The author moves the plot on quickly with action on every page which keeps you turning the pages, keen to find out whether Jesse can reunite with his daughter before it’s too late. The pace of this novel meant I’d read it in 2 days and i’d Be keen to read more by this author.
