This begins in Berlin in winter and the tale has a dark and scary atmosphere. Jesse's is a paediatrician and his estranged wife is killed and his daughter is kidnapped. He feels something from his past is responsible and he will have to fight to save his beloved daughter, ISA
As Jesse had an injury many years ago this left him with amnesia, so anything from his childhood he has forgotten. Jesse has to try to recover his lost memories and to come to terms with his past good or bad, as he feels this is the only way to get his daughter back.
There is a great twist to the story and it’s fast, page turning pace is full of action and mixes present day with flashbacks to the past. An enjoyable read.
