I would never usually pick this genre to read. This was very much out of my comfort zone but I can thankfully say that I was very pleasantly surprised.
I liked how we had the two time periods alternating so different aspects of both stories were being unravelled, it felt like a movie in that respect.
I found the characters interesting, thought provoking and able to evoke emotion from me, whether that be a liking to them or hatred.
I understand that the book had to be quite long because of the intricate plot however I think I would have preferred if it was in a shorter format.
I loved how as you got deeper into the story, you made your own assumptions and theories to then have these bizarre and unpredictable plot twists thrown at you!
