I found this book difficult for me to enjoy, I just could not engage with the story or visualise the characters within the story. I am sure that Marc Raabe is a good writer but he is not for me.
The story is a translation from the original German version that was published in 2015. the story did not grip me enough to finish the story and many times I found I had to re-read the previous chapter to remember the characters and story line.
Though this book was not for me that is not to say that there are many that would enjoy the read.
The synopsis did draw me to the book and also the cover would have made it stand out on a bookshelf.
Perhaps I will have another read of the book at some later stage and maybe I may change my opinion
