Living in a nightmare
The cover of this book is very apt - it perfectly described how the lead character, Jesse, must feel. Trapped in a box.
Confined, tortured and helpless with no view of an escape from his living nightmare.
Having grown up in awful circumstances, managing to move away from it all and start a fresh life hoping to free himself from the hellish nightmare that engulfs him day and night.
To then enduring even worse pain - his wife was killed when he was the target, his daughter taken from him. When will it all end?
This is a fantastic book but from my personal opinion I felt it to be too intense too often. I know that is the whole point of the writers intention, and many will love that style, but for me it was a bit too much.
