Home Sick is quite a suspenseful thriller by Marc Raabe, which tells the story of a paediatrician who goes by the name of Jesse Berg who has a lot of secrets and a lot of other things that he does not talk about. After the murder of his ex wife and the kidnapping of his daughter, he soon finds out that he was the initial target. Now, he must go back to his past in order to have a future.

I went into this book completely that Raabe was from Germany and that this was a translation, and that he is, apparently so, an author who is already quite well known. It is nice to read from an author whose book had not originally been published in English, much like Jens Lapidus.

I have not been having the best of luck lately with reading books and actually enjoying them. Much like most of the books that I have read lately, I found this one to be quite slow in moving forward and progressing the story.

I have not read many books of this genre, suspense/thriller, as of late, so I thought that this one might have been the trick to get me back into them, but, unfortunately not. I will one day though!

Even though it was slow paced, I did end up enjoying it to some extent, it kept me entertained for a few hours.
