This was the first book of Raabe's that i had read, so i had modest expectations despite his notority for thriller (which are definitely my cup of tea) novels, but i found i liked it very much.
He has a very good writing style, which was nice for reading as it meant it flowed easily and if you had to put it down for whatever reason, you could easily pick it back up again.
Although, I feel the story did get a little slow after the first couple of chapters (which were full on, very intense and had me hooked) it came back to a very gripping, enjoyable and entertaining thriller. I liked how the chapters were laid out, with one part in the past and another two in the present which all seemlessly came together at the end. I didnt guess the outcome till the end either which was nice. The finale was executed with tension and emotion and really did keep me turning the pages till the end.
