After reading the synopsis I thought I'd probably be tempted to use my points to claim this as a free book, mainly because the subject matter is so topical and thought-provoking. However, although I found that opening pages held some immediate appeal and I was very quickly able to "hear" Amir's voice, I must admit that some of the reviews I've now read on Goodreads have made me feel rather more ambivalent so I've decided to hang onto my points and take my chances with the open draw! Having said that, I think the story has enormous potential to explore prejudice, bigotry and stereotyping so I'd certainly be very willing to read it with an open mind if I'm chosen to receive a copy!
