I found myself completely captivated by the first 28 pages.

What appealed to me right away, besides the cover which I loved, is that every person questions themself in high school. Questions who they are. How will others approve or disapprove of their different-ness, whatever that might be.

Talk about coming of age story! I’m always drawn to them, of all types and this one feels like a triple threat of hurdles for the protagonist, Amir.

From being in the closet, secret boyfriends, and graduation,.... to blackmail,.... to Rome to hide who you are from your family seems like a drastic approach, but I’m eager to read and see just who Amir is, and how his family reacts to his true self as well.

I’m already invested in Amir. My hearts already attached and is already hurting for him. Now, I’m ready to read the rest of the book with the hopes that both him and his families reactions (crossing everything) will help me heal my heart AND Amir’s.

I’m ready and excited to read Amir’s story and hope to be considered to read for review.
