Having seen a little bit of a buzz around this book within some book communities, I was so excited to see the sneak peek available on Readers First and had to read it.

Firstly, the cover is really bright and colourful, pulling me in straight away, and it matches the story really well.

The story covers some sensitive topics that are relevant to modern day society and particularly current movements, which is both important and interesting to read about.

The tone is slightly more casual than I usually like, but I believe this may be due to the target audience being teens/young adult and the main character also is a teen, but I'm reserving judgement on the tone until I'm able to read the whole book as it may be quite refreshing.

The main character Amir Azadi is different to other characters I have encountered in books I've read recently, which was a really welcome change. He was really likeable, with an edge about him, and by the end of the sneak peek it seemed more like he was someone I had just met and that we were slowly getting to know each other with the likelihood of becoming friends, rather than a character in a book.

The humour within the book suits Amir and his story perfectly, giving a perfect balance between the serious topics and a humorous, casual read. Even if I am not lucky enough to receive a copy of this through Readers First, I will definitely be purchasing this and adding it to my TBR once it is available.
