Amir Azadi struggles with his identity: he is gay and Iranian. When the eighteen-year-old ends up at an airport interrogation room, he recounts his story. We learn about his final year of high school in America and how he decides to take a life-changing trip abroad. I found this to be a relevant read about coming out in the modern day. Whilst the novel explores a serious subject matter, it is also interspersed with humour. I like the bright eye-catching cover and this is definitely my kind of book.
