I love the concept of this novel and how it's exploring two identities what I don't think I've ever seen collide in fiction - to be muslim and to be gay - and how difficult it is for Amir to be both. The writing is light and easy to read but I can tell it's going to handle the hard and darker parts of this topic gracefully. I'm really excited to read the rest!
