A coming-out story as a gay Muslim
This is a thought provoking book.
Although I enjoy reading memoirs and biographies, I cannot imagine that I would normally choose to read the true story of an 18 year old American Muslim student who fled to Rome in order to avoid telling his family that he was gay.
This book is aimed at Young Adult readers and I can see that they would identify with some of the scenarios better than I could.
Nevertheless, it is an interesting and thought provoking account of a situation which I had never considered before picking up this book.
