This book was truly amazing. I feel that I would be able to finish it in one sitting with how engrossed I was in this short extract.

Amir is eighteen, Muslim and gay. He knows he should tell his parents, but doesn't know how to approach the subject. One of his classmates finds out and blackmails him for thousands of dollars, and so in order to escape, Amir escapes. Literally. 24 hours later, he finds himself in Rome, and so starts a summer of self-discovery...

The story was also different from many others on the market. As such it tackled a subject area I have yet to read about in a book. Having the main story of Amir’s life in Rome and the colourful background of characters he meets was unique and interesting. It was also nice to have the perspective of Amir’s parent and sister

Overall, this was a really good book, and I would highly recommend.
