A story following the highschool life Amir - an Iranian Muslim boy who is also gay. He had always kept his two life's sperate never allowing his boyfriend - who is a popular jock; the complete opposite of Amir who has never felt as though he fits in - and parents to cross paths as he remained in the closet. His entire world comes crashing down when two bullies have photographic evidence of his sexuality and threaten to show his parents if he does not pay up. The easiest solution for Amir is to dissapear until he finds out if his family will continue to love him despite being gay. The story tackles modern day problems of prejudice where Amir is treated differently because of his skin colour and sexuality. He is accused of being a terrorist based on his religion and argues with his parents over something that he cannot change.
