The book demonstrates acceptance and some individuals that struggle with their sexuality and identity. Eighteen-year-old Amir Azadi always struggled with his coming out to his family, his muslim family. They are strict with their rules and they like keeping things traditional, so what happens when they find out their son is gay..? Amir always know it would be a struggle telling them but the last thing he expected was them to find out in an airport interrogation room, and the next thing he knows he's flying to Rome. Amir enjoyed going out every night with his friends, going on nightly dates and actually having a chance at love. It becomes so normal to him it starts feeling like his second nature. But when his past comes back hitting him start in the face with no way out, Amir has tell tell the truth and nothing but the truth. This book is a fantastic eye opening book, that shows how some individuals struggle but cope. I would highly recommend and can't wait for his next read.
