I enjoyed reading "How it all blew up". It was an easy read even though the topic is quite important. I liked how the story was from Amir's perspective but you got an incite into his family's experience of events through their interviews at airport security! I loved the descriptions of Italy and the delicious Italian food too! The only downside was a found it a little less engaging about two thirds of the way in when there was lots on Amir's life in Italy but still enjoyed it, though the nipple ring story grossed me out a bit! I found the start very emotive and the best bit but the ending was good too if a little quick! Overall I think this is a good book. I liked the topic and I liked that it was partially based on the author's own experiences. This would probably be a good book for lots of people to read, including teenagers, to help people think more about other people's experiences.
