I read this books super fast and really enjoyed it from cover to cover. It tells the story of Amir who comes out to his Muslim family. I enjoyed the journey the book took me on to Italy with Amir.

I found it hard to connect with Amir at times and it certainly felt like we didn't get to know him as well as we could have. The setting was developed brilliantly though and gave me a chance to escape to a new place especially when we aren't doing much of that at the present.

I liked the way the story was told with the opinions of his family shared throughout the text.

It was a fast paced easy read that made me think about the differences that we sometimes don't even acknowledge between our lives and made me laugh throughout. The book was heartfelt and left me feeling good at the end. I would definitely recommend this to others and it is a great piece of YA literature.
