I genuinely loved this book, such a lovely and funny piece of YA fiction. It follows Amir's journey of acceptance, from his more traditional family all the way to new friends in Rome.

I loved the opportunity of insight into a culture and family setting that I don't understand. I was raised in a Catholic family as a bisexual, and so I really empathized seeing it from a Muslim perspective.

This book gave you a fantastic insight into more troubling topics such as coming out, and unwarranted terrorist suspicions in a genuinely funny way, without going too far and taking away from the seriousness. The humor really helped the reader to keep up with the fast moving plot while not being lost in the heaviness of certain topics.

I have already loaned this book out to a friend who I know will also love the humor and themes within this story! So I would certainly 100% recommend this book - definitely worth a read.
