One thing I would say that drew me into this book initially was the exploration that clearly takes place within. The book features a young, gay, muslim man, which was lovely and unusual to see, as it isn't something very commonly seen in the religion, nor the culture, therefore making it more sentimental and meaningful.
I think it was an eye-opening take on the hardships minorities face in today's America. I think the title is incredibly clever, due to the very harmful stereotype that Muslim's "are all terrorists" and are often, wrongfully, associated with bombs. It really made me realise how lucky I am to have a loving and accepting family. It honestly is genuine, hilarious and saddening at the same time. It took me on a whole rollercoaster of emotions and I found myself not wanting to put the book down and wanting to read on. I feel like the book wasn't very true to the description, however I don't see that as a major issue.
