First impression on How it all blew up by Arvin Ahmadi
This book has been on my radar for some time and it did not disappoint! The main character, Amir, is gay and he is Muslim and isn't currently out but this may change as he is being blackmailed! I also like that it is not all based in a school setting and instead we will see the main character in Italy! This I feel adds another layer to the story and makes it a very different book from what I have ever read before.
First look it seems a fast paced easy read and an important book. The authors note at the start of the book shows how personal it is for Arvin Ahmadi allowing that insight from experience you get when reading an own voices book.
I really like the cover and that is what drew me in to begin with.
Reading this snippet has definitely made me want to continue asap! It definitely seems like a book I would devour in one sitting!
