How it all blew up.
I enjoyed this book a lot. It is the first 5 star book in a long time for me.
I enjoyed learning about the main character a lot. I liked his backstory and how it wasn't the typical love story.
The story is set in summer, which i adore.
The fact that such a good book deals with such heavy and important topics such as race and sexuality amazes me. The way the author has portrayed the issues that the character deals with, almost puts me in his position. I love that for once, I'm not going off what someone is saying but I almost feel the same emotions as the main character. Of course, the story shares some light hearted fragments - but the overall message I gained from it is that life is messy. Everybody deals with things differently than how it appears on the outside. I loved this book and it was a great read. I strongly recommend it. Wow!
