Loved it. Equal parts funny heartbreaking and a great read
I really loved this book I literally couldn’t put it down and read it in a twenty four hour sitting. Amir is a great character and it feels very real and according to the book based on a true story. I can’t begin to imagine how being in his situation would feel but this book will give hope to others who are experiencing the same emotions. I liked the fact the author showed us what Amir was thinking and the idea of the scoreboard and the tally of points going his way as he navigated his journey from America and Jackson to Rome. It felt like Amir really found his place in Rome and genuinely felt like he belonged which was amazing. Jahan was a confusing character towards the end of the book which made me genuinely sad because it never seemed like Amir really lies to him he just didn’t tell him the whole story.
