I love reading about culture, religion and coming out stories. Amir felt real. He didn’t come out he ran away and he lied and he had fun. He made his own family in Rome and had a great time living his true self. But he lied because he was scared of telling his truth which is something a lot of people can relate to! His family were such a typical family, little know it all sister figuring it out. Progressive mother trying to understand even if it’s hard and then the dad who was scared and doesn’t understand being gay but loves his son anyway.
I hope the best for the characters in this book and I would recommend it!
