Lovely book and easy to read. It sheds light on topics that aren’t often talked about such as being a Muslim and being gay and does so in a way that’s engaging and at times funny. It’s sad that people have to hide themselves for so long for fear of disapproval or worse.

The story follows Amir a gay Iranian Muslim boy in Highschool struggling to fit in, who meets this handsome ‘out of his league’ jock Jackson who is also a closeted gay. It follows Amir as he faces bullies at his school, stereotyping and his Muslim parents. It does state at the beginning that it is the authors most personal book which makes it that much more better.

Nice cover and blurb which makes reader keen to read on. It’s a relatively short book and could easily be read in one sitting. This book is for anyone and I would recommend it to younger readers so that they can learn to be more accepting of other people.
