Where do I start with this book! I LOVED it from start to finish and I’m so so glad I had the opportunity from Readers First to have a copy to review!

This book isn’t usually my type of book however I have since explored others from the same genre. This is a story of Amir who runs away to Italy after someone tries to blackmail him by telling his Muslim family that he is gay. Through a mix of first person and airport security interviews you begin to get to know Amir and follow his dilemma with his family dynamics.

I just loved the relationships Amir struck up in Italy and the character development as your progress through the book. Amir’s sister is just a queen and I loved her! You follow Amir from a painfully shy teenager who was afraid of telling his family who he really was to him having a full blown argument with his family on a plane and them subsequently being accused of being terrorists! The humour in the book is perfectly done and balances well with the more serious elements of it.

A book I would 100% recommend and 1000% pick up again. I would love to explore this style of book further so any recommendations please feel free to let me know!
