It's always disapointing when almost a quater of the first impression is just the gumpf at the front of the book.
I have to say beyond the nice glimpses of life and resilience this first impression had very little to interest me sadly.
I'm not sure what the point of the novel will end up being and I'm not really interested in finding out. Just not my thing I guess.
I found the mentions of Turkish history much more interesting than the interactions between the characters and the actual storyline
Lovely cover though, intriguing but not over the top and it relates to the introduction of the book.
