Well, first of all, I wish I had an aunt like Kiki! What a fantastic character she is and I see signs that her niece, our narrator, has inherited some of her independent-minded qualities (although maybe not enough). It's obvious the author has great skill in creating interesting, realistic characters who possess, as we call do, positive points as well as flaws. I'm intrigued to find out what decisions the narrator makes about her relationship with Boyd.
This author is completely new to me but I really like the easy writing style. I think this would be a great read.
