I actually really enjoyed this book. The words just flow from the page and its a really good storyline. I love how there was multiple characters with their own way of connecting to the story and how they all fit perfectly together to create a great storyline and great narrative. I loved the plot of Improvement and at no point did I feel that it was getting slow or that I didn't understand why a certain bit of the story was in the story because so many books include information that isn't relevant to the story or even relevant to helping you understand a bit more about the story. Overall I have already recommended this book to friends and will be reading more books by Joan Silber because I love her writing style! I also love the cover and at first I didn't even realise it was a unravelling carpet for some reason!
