It is a tapestry of stories from 1970 to2012, highlighting a number of different characters and their interconnected stories, much like a tapestry of life across the decades. These events change the characters lives, and there is a range of fantastic happenings along the way. The author makes the stories and the characters believable, while also adding some fantastical details to this to make it less about ordinary people and more about extraordinary events that create a chain effect. The writing is good, and the author has a good grasp of the English language. It was an interesting tale and I'd recommend it.
